Who Should attend?

Operatives who may come into contact with non licensable materials while working or plan to remove Asbestos Non License materials as detailed in the Asbestos Essentials HSG 210.

Course Content & Aims

By the end of the course you should know what non licensable works are, safe working methods, safe use of PPE/RPE and have practical knowledge on how to carry out the safe removal of non licensable asbestos.

Also covered:

  • Introduction to regulations, ACOP  L143 & Guidance Asbestos Essentials HSG 210.
  • Cover asbestos types, properties & effects on health. Operations resulting in exposure to asbestos. Risk Assessments & control measures along with RPE/PPE. Safe working methods, recording, reporting & correcting defects.
  • We cover hygiene, decontamination & waste management. Discuss licensed works, other hazards, emergency procedures and practical works.

Assessment & Qualification/Other Info

UKATA accredited certification on successful completion.

As part of the Asbestos Non License 1 Day course delegates should have undertaken an Asbestos Awareness half day course before coming onto the 1 Day Asbestos Non License.
